Yours truly, - Signature - (Surin Tanticharoenkiat) Board Secretary Board Secretary Division Tel. 02 661 9900 Ext. 1402 Fax 02 661 9946 Padaeng signed zinc prospecting and exploration agreement in Laos Padaeng Industry Public Company Limited (PDI), Mr. Vinij Ongnegnun, Deputy Managing Director and Mr. Chaya Hasdisave, Vice President- Procurement and as Managing Director of Padaeng Industry (Laos) Company Limited, signed the zinc prospecting and exploration agreement within a 800km2 contracted area in Kasi District, Vientiane Province with the government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). Mr.Arsa Sarasin, Chairman of PDI and Dr.Bosaikum Wongdara, Minister of Energy and Mining of Lao PDR, presided over the ceremony, which was also witnessed by the Thai and Lao PDR honored guests on October 28, 2006. Mr. Vinij Ongnegnun, Deputy Managing Director of PDI said that the Company has obtained permission from the Government of Laos PDR to explore zinc in the area of 800 square kilometer in Kasi, Vientiane. This area contained interesting geological aspects show high potentiality of zinc resources. The Company shall immediately start the exploration after obtaining license from the Department of Geology & Mines, Lao PDR, and has set-up the landmark. Exploration within the 800 km2 is planned to be staged over the next 4 years. The first 2 years will consist of a regional geochemical sampling & prospect mapping over the entire area which be followed up by more detailed and selective exploration programmes. The final 2 years will consist of a target definition programme and an ore potential target definition programme which will hopefully lead to the successful development of economically attractive zinc resources within the area.
