Padaeng Industry Plc on Feb 17, 1998 signed a memorandum of understanding with Tak Mining Co Ltd in a bid to become alliance to mine zinc resource located in Maesod's district, Tak province. The company indicated vast amount of siligate and sulphite, in zinc ore, takes longer than 10 years to mine. In the agreement Tak Mining will manage to found ore plant while PDI is to supply know-how technology and to acquire all outputs, which gives advantage for the company by reducing material imports from overseas by 15% of total amount posting 140,000 metric tonnes a year.
