Padaeng Industry Plc. (PDI) announced a joint investment for the exploration and development of a zinc and copper source in Myanmar. PDI reported that its president - Mr. Thirachai Riensapdee - and the president of City Reality - Mr. Charlie Soponpanich - will represent Asia Investment (1995) on Monday September 9, 1996 to sign a contract for the exploration and development of a zinc and copper source in Myanmar. The Myanmar government previously granted rights for Asia Investment (1995) Co., Ltd. to explore block no. 9 for zinc and copper in Myanmar. The site is in the northern part of the country, covering an area of 1,400 square kilometres. The exploration will last about 1-2 years requiring about Bt10-million in the first year.
